Dude I just drove 985 miles in 10 hours 3 stops and that's the American way no stopping fill up as little as possible as soon as you can do that sure I might consider one. Never saw one charging station the whole trip
- dublin 5y agoI dropped into the Tesla dealer here in Austin a little before the Wuhan panic hit, and the reps there confirmed that a trip to South Florida would take several DAYS longer in a Tesla than in a regular car. Electric has some benefits, but overall, gas engines have more. IMO, the series hybrid, a la the old Chevy Volt, is the best approach - use electric where you can, but with the confidence that you've got a gasoline engine/range extender that can get you there.
