After getting fired after 35, I did a full-time masters at a state school. In a perfect world, everyone should do a masters after 7-8 years in industry since you can't know what's important without field experience. In our *im*-perfect world, however, I'd rather have kept my job than been "forced" to go back to school. For most of us mortals, bottom-line remains bottom-line.
