The algorithm is also extremely simple, I've seen code golf with less than 100 char in most languages, and realistically just a couple lines of code. I like that you can recursively add more precision after the plus, as well as truncate some of the start if you provide context like the country or city. For example all of Montreal lives within the "87Q8" block, so I can just truncate that away if I specify that I'm in Montreal.
