Did the homeowner then tell you, that you could make it stop happening if you paid them? I think yeah, you should trash the homeowner for being a dick in that case. Sure, free book, and the homeowner assumedly thinks the book is better that way, but at what point does this 'free book' became the responsibility of the new owner? Where's the line between the as is, and as is but we're gonna randomly make it worse?
