I ditch every user name eventually, and have only a selected few who I will stay in contact with. Building an online long term identify in and of itself just seems dangerous and revealing. That's why when I created this account for example, I didn't even care about the name. It will be gone eventually as well. But it's frustrating, and one wonders what connections one could have made without this modus operandus.
