- Someone 5y agoThe speed of sound in seawater isn’t very high (about 1,500m/s in the layer being used according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOFAR_channel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOFAR_channel) So, I would think you don’t need super accurate clocks.
