Let's see
- really difficult
- increasing complexity over time
- relevant in a number of domains with tonnes of new code still being written and decades of legacy code out there
- many people don't like it or aren't interested in learning it
- as an experienced C++ developer you'll (rightly or not) often be perceived as someone who can pick up any other tech stack
Sounds decent to me.
- reducesuffering 5y agoI’ve been the C++ expert at work but am hesitant about doing the interview problems with it, due to most people saying Python will allow you to answer the problems quicker using the succinct syntax. What are your thoughts on C++ in interview problems?
- drywater2 5y agoDone some research on this. It's not that interviewing in C++ isn't ok, but you'll increase your chances to fail due to language complexity and time to edit the code. Nobody cares at the language level how you optimize your code in an interview. I know C++ and I'm learning Python and vim right now just for coding interviews.
