I may be a minority here, but I really enjoy writing documentation. It lets me wrap my head around the problem and really get into how people would use the software; often times I find a lot of usability issues when writing the documentation, so it has become instrumental in almost every coding I do. Although I do agree that it is vastly underappreciated :/.
