As someone who has used both a MacBook and Linux. One thing I would say is that macbook is best for people who want everything to work right outside of the box and you have a lot of commercial applications support on MacBook especially Adobe Suite. But for Linux if you are into customization or making it more personalized to your needs then I would say Linux would be best choice but you might end up spending a lot of breaking and fixing things in that process which might use a lot of your time but its worth it since you’ll learn a ton in that process
