Center the TV guide around "events" rather than a grid of time slots. Events are the centerpiece of live TV, from news to sports. You basically just need 2 flows to cover all of TV: on demand "content" and "events". EDIT: I would also add some "pre" and "post" concept around events. This could hook social media into the TV. Every app from Clubhouse, Twitter, Live podcasts, etc. could plug into a pre or post show for key events they cover.
