It's honestly about the same, cost wise. $100 for Apple, I've seen as low as $170 for Windows. If anything, Apple is worse because I require an Apple device to sign, though you can work around that with hosted CI. Apple actually arbitrarily adjusts the price for non-US regions. For some reason they want twice as much from me here.
