I was so perplexed because I thought maybe they weren't targeting people under age 25 specifically because of some kind of anti-predation-of-young-people regulation.
I could just as easily seen an outrage that Facebook was showing credit card ads to 12 year olds.
- astura 6y agoSpecifically excluding minors from viewing ads for financial products wouldn't be illegal according to the wikipedia quoted above >unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant, with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction, on the basis of [...] age (provided the applicant has the capacity to contract); Minors don't have the capacity to contract.
