You lost me at "Blackberry got it right..."
I remember being issued a Blackberry at work and thinking what a terrible idea it was (both the corporate decision and the device). We were doing a software integration with Blackberry servers, and testing that integration was the only reason any of us actually used our newly issued phones. When the iPhone came out two years later, we recognized true innovation and never looked back.
- jamaicahest 5y agoYou completely ignored the point of the article, which is that Blackberry created a unified inbox and no app has since been able to do that. Even on iPhone.
- stack_framer 5y agoWe had 80 employees, and very few of us liked anything about our Blackberries—including the unified inbox. How is that ignoring the point of the article?
- slothtrop 5y agoBecause it doesn't contradict it. It's a red herring.
- nvr219 5y agoThanks for the comment. I had to manage BES for years, I know what a mess that is. I'm saying this one feature they had was amazing + never replicated.
