It's totally feasible just against the terms of use of each platform. Trillian used to cover this problem in the early days as well.

- Gualdrapo 6y agoAnd Pidgin, on desktop. And many other multi protocol 'apps'. The ridiculousness of that "my app has to have its own experience" largely affected desktop. Messaging applications fully integtated with desktop environments are no more, at least what they used to be. It's sad to see how not many people can use Pidgin now, or how things like Telepathy died.
