Looks like a fun project, but for styling it’s still too flashy and modern IMHO. I react the way to most redesigns so it could be more me than you. That said, I don’t think you’re trying to be a designer for hackers and the cool stuff is probably under the hood, and it’s a good example of what’s possible with just an API.
