If this was true, we would have known about it already from adverse effects. Looking at the Hungary's data [0], for example, it looks Sputnik V and Sinovac fared much better than rivals. This looks like the typical American stunt to reduce the distribution of the Russian and Chinese vaccines, and also to hurt the image of Russia or China like competent rivals.

- joyeuse6701 6y agoIf it’s true, at best the vaccine receivers would have experienced a cold or cold like symptoms beyond the norm. At worst they effectively received a placebo, based on Dr. Rasmussen’s comments. Any data from Russia/Hungary is suspect, at least at the same rate that the data is suspect from every country that’s had significant Covid.
- nikolay 6y agoBased on what you're saying, Brazil's data should be questionable, too.
- rsynnott 6y agoYou wouldn't necessarily expect severe adverse effects. But it's both not the framing the vaccine was tested in, and speaks to inconsistency of batches. I don't think anyone has suggested the Chinese adenovirus vaccine has similar issues?
