    When I worked in consulting, the vast majority of my work was with companies that didn't have the staff and/or expertise to solve a particular problem. Then again, I didn't work at a big-four -- but I would imagine that a team that 25% has experience in doing a particular thing is still better than a team that has zero experience doing it. While people often criticize consulting companies for barely knowing what they're doing, the flip side of this is that the people at the company hiring them don't necessarily know what they're doing either :D There's a lot of people coasting along in corporate IT.
