Ask HN: Would you like a toggleable “replies to my comment” notifier?

  No thanks! Reddit is designed to keep you engaged and encourage arguments. I prefer having to actually want to know if anyone has replied to me. I don't want to be prompted to "shout back". Sorry, I'm a bit of an extremist in this regard, I imagine.

    OP clearly mentioned “toggleable” for the ability to opt-in/out.

      Sadly I don't trust myself to use it (I think reddit has that under an arcane name like "replies to inbox"?). Sorry if I seem ungreatful. Maybe some people would appreciate this as a browser extension or similar? I believe (might be wrong) there are a whole bunch of "missing features" from YC news that are missing exactly in order to guide people's interactions (no down vote without significant karma for instance)
