Legislation would mandate driver-monitoring tech in every car
- monkeybutton 5y agoThe discussion happening Ars' comment section is both hilarious and savage. People are clearly averse to continuously being monitored in-vehicle by a system they don't control, plus lots of valid fears about data privacy. Personally I'm looking to purchase a new vehicle now and invasive safety features are unavoidable. I find myself researching which manufacturers have recalls for their 2020 models because the automatic emergency brakes engage at the wrong time (Ford, Volvo, Nissan, Mazda!).
