Uber Eats subtracts a penny if you get the exact minimum for free delivery
- chickenpotpie 6y agoThis is literally penny wise and pound foolish
- notrandom 6y agoThis was clever!
- armchairhacker 6y agoI looked through the comments and it's very probable this is fake: OP has an exact 1c credit, or something else is going on, and this isn't usual. And off-topic, it's a shame because this happens pretty often on Reddit where there is some misleading post and it takes a few comments down to clarify.
- esyir 6y agoWell, proper procedure here would be to flag the post then. Thanks for clarifying on this clickbait.
- lstamour 6y agoCan’t say for sure, but it’s possible it wasn’t Uber Eats but instead the Wendy’s - the store can make price adjustments: https://help.uber.com/ubereats/article/i-have-a-price-adjustment-issue?nodeId=1a54892b-3b4b-427a-b902-17398feafded https://help.uber.com/ubereats/article/i-have-a-price-adjust... https://help.uber.com/merchants-and-restaurants/article/how-to-adjust-the-price-of-an-order?nodeId=04e10ebf-0f49-4327-97a6-1559108527ce https://help.uber.com/merchants-and-restaurants/article/how-... That said, I imagine if you complained, Uber Eats could make a similar-looking price adjustment, so I can’t say either way definitively.
- MikeUt 6y agoCan someone explain the significance of this, for those who don't know how Uber Eats works?

- austinprete 6y agoMy understanding is that by paying $10/month for Eats Pass, you get free delivery on orders of $15 or more. What this is showing is that if order total == $15.00, then Eats will subtract a penny from the total, forcing you to get another item in order to get the free delivery.
- castratikron 6y agoIsn't that tantamount to making the minimum $15.01? What's the point?
- fleacircus 6y agoWhile it's functionally the same as making the minimum $15.01, in practice even the least expensive thing on the menu will likely push you at least a few dollars over the "minimum".
- smabie 6y agowell you could make the same argument for $14.99 vs $15. Regardless, have not been able to replicate this.
- gruez 6y agoCan anyone else confirm this? A search for 'uber eats "price adjustment"' doesn't turn up anything similar to this, only stories resturants adjusting the amount after an order (the screenshot in the post suggests the order hasn't been placed).
- jtokoph 6y agoI added $15 exactly and do not get this one cent price adjustment: https://imgur.com/gallery/VtefT4Y https://imgur.com/gallery/VtefT4Y
