that's not quite right. Computers currently are far worse than the good drivers out there. It is not clear if they ever could be better than a trained and cautious driver. For example you can easily avoid the situation above by not talking on the phone while driving across rails. if the AI abruptly crosses the median how are you going to avoid that?
