I see about 5 movies a year in the theaters; maybe 1 if you don't count children's movies. I listen to a lot of music, but almost none if it is music represented by the Grammy's. Of the Record/Song of the Year nominees, I was only familiar with one. Bottom line for me is that the content being put out by Hollywood and the big music labels is just not compelling enough for me to spend my attention on. Why, then, would I care what is the "best" of a bunch of art that is irrelevant to me?
