Avoid Ultrasonic Humidifiers
- LinuxBender 5y agoI am not disagreeing with this article, but in my opinion it would be slightly better to say don't drink or breath unfiltered tap water. My tap water is absolutely awful and I would never use it in a humidifier or diffuser. I am not even comfortable showering in it.
- dynm 5y agoI think that evan tap water that's totally safe to drink would still usually be problematic in an ultrasonic humidifier. There's nothing dangerous about drinking some dissolved minerals, but you (probably) don't want to breathe them.
- pmdulaney 5y agoAt first blush this seems pretty ridiculous, but many scientific truths seem that way when you first encounter them. Grapefruit juice shouldn't be combined with statins. Ulcers are caused by a stomach bacteria. Alcohol is a powerful carcinogen. Old T-shirts protect against sun better than new ones. Cats can trigger schizophrenia.
