There are irc channels that can also be of help. I used to spend my time in #sed and #awk, and try to answer any short question that came up in the channel. They came up at a good pace, I don't know if this is still the case. It was a really good exercise, and it has an additional social aspect you will not get from reading books (which is a great resource too).
