It's not bad. I just feel that the online news space is already very crowded atm. Certainly looks like it could be going somewhere though. There is a lot of wasted space though, escpecialy with that massive logo (nicely designed but too big), also that nav bar is too big as well. Make the header smaller and move everything up. That way you will be able to display more news items. You should also consider giving users the option to customize their newsfeed, e.g. I'm interested in Technology, show me Tech news. Good Luck!
