Yeah, this article is honestly not well thought out and more of a character assassination than an a serious critique. Which one might have guessed just looking at the headline image. There's no point trying to replace the entire global pharmaceutical industry with something more open or cooperative in the middle of a pandemic when we need the existing system now. If that's your battle, it's fine, and maybe it's a good battle to fight, but this is not the time.
