- tomnipotent 5y agoBeyond Meat and Impossible Foods already have patents, but they don't seem to have harmed the industry in any way. Prices are competitive, and we're still at the very early stage of a maturing supply chain. When patents do expire, newcomers will have a rich market of suppliers and vendors that will make getting started require even less capital while benefiting from a larger consumer market looking for more choice.
