30% is egregious and unfair. I remember Facebook killed their app ecosystem by charging 30% rates. It had competition from other places, and so their prematurely milked ecosystem died. With mobile app stores, people are either funneled into the app store with no easy alternative (Android) or have literally no other option (iphone). Maybe 1% or 2% would be justified. But 30%? Clearly not
