Cryptocurrency requires special strategies for estate planning
- andrewfromx 6y agois there a company working on a solution to running your own wallets and having lots of assets not in coinbase or some thing like that with email, password, 2fa your heir can get in, get access. I guess the cloud provider I chose to rent my server hosting my wallet, or the actual bear metal machine needs to be clearly explained in my will how to access.
- andrewfromx 6y agoI guess the real key is to make sure my living trust owns these machines or the credit card used on the cloud hosting contract. Or better yet, you should have your Living Trust issue a ACH / wire transfer of funds from your Living Trust Bank Account. Somehow you want to prove the trust owns these and there is no probate.
- andrewfromx 6y agothere is https://primebroker.coinbase.com/private-clients https://primebroker.coinbase.com/private-clients and https://custody.coinbase.com https://custody.coinbase.com but these both have the same problem for holding lots of ADA. The whole proof of stake means I need my large $ not in coinbase but in my own real wallet using that $ to make more ADA.
