  Can we change the title? Him being a vegan has nothing to do with this story. It's a story about a young man from California who poured $5M into Joe Biden's campaign fund who runs a risky markets business in Hong Kong.

      It sure claims to frown on it... except for when it insists on it for some silly reason or other, and (at least to me) this sounds no less silly than any of the other previous silly reasons Hacker News has used to defend its inconsistent application of its impossible-anyway (as titles change over time, don't always exist in the first place, are sometimes context-dependent, or might be non-applicable as the link is to a paragraph or sentence) title guideline concept.

    Welcome to the age if identity politics and the propagandization of news outlets. It was about 7 years ago that the NYT started including the race of the people they were writing about, that was not relevant to the stories back then but it is relevant now somehow. Maybe because it is a quasi positive story it's OK. If or when he gets arrested for fraud like many of these young crypto exchange technocrats do, they will probably leave out his veganism.
