Victors write history.
- nsajko 6y ago"Victors write history" is somewhat vapid and quite misleading as an explanation here, because history consists of more than just WW1.
- gerikson 6y agoWho speaks for the Empire of Austria-Hungary now? No-one. The forces that unified Italy in the 19th century (fighting against that empire!) tore it apart into its constituent nations. In the USA, Italy was an ally in WW1 (or at least they fought one the same side). Why would anyone use the place names of the enemy?
