I think far more likely is a gradual quiescence of accounts. I still maintain my accounts because there’s the odd HOA thing that pops up on a Facebook group, but I don’t actively “engage with” anything else on Facebook. There’s a finality to deleting your accounts, sure. But you can also get most of the benefits by just using social networking less.
