I don’t mind patiently waiting for a new Xbox but if Microsoft suddenly doubled the price I’d strongly consider patiently waiting for a PS5 instead. I’m guessing whatever companies expect they could gain (or even retain) from raising the price in the short-term doesn’t exceed what they expect to lose in the long-term.
