Arthur C. Clarke – One day, a computer will fit on a desk (1974)
- pndy 6y agoHe along with Stephen Baxter kinda nailed smartphone idea in their A Time Odyssey series book - tho, their device was far more "smart" as it was equipped with sophisticated AI rather than just a voice assistant. Not mention it was given by the UN to any kid who become 12yo rather being a commercial product. The protagonist of the series treated her phone as "a friend".
