I agree with the premise of this article, but there is a deeper issue at hand, how we decide who is guilty. Simply abolishing the death penalty isn't enough, there is a greater reform needed to reduce wrongful convictions. At the end of the day if a man is wrongfully convicted, spending life in prison is hardly much better than the death penalty.
