My biggest issue with all the "Tax the Wealthy" stuff... we have 5 Trillion to work with... how much more do they need? What will they possibly spend it on given we already spend more than other countries on pretty much everything.
Giving our current leaders more money to spend is just wasteful.
- nnm 6y agoBig money spent by bureaucracy does not have a reputation of not being wasteful.
- akvadrako 6y agoMost of the money goes towards social security and medical expenses, and the percentage is going up. So it's not so much about giving politicians more to play with, but being able to honor the debts that have been incured to the citizens.
