I've used mostly C and orthodox C++ for more than twenty years and I am only starting to consider alternatives. Zig and Jai are looking very nice, in my opinion. I am pretty sure that Rust will follow a route similar to C++, too complex and too many young coders trying to embrace it without enough experience.
