Show HN: A 404 page / game that encourages people to wear a mask
Hey there!
We created a fun 404 page that is inspired by Space Invaders. We built a a game encouraging people to wear a mask during this Covid crises. https://lazyeight.in/404
If any of you would like to add this to your website, feel free to shoot me an email at: nav.chatterji@lazyeight.in , I'll be happy to send over the code.
Hope everyone stays safe during these trying times.
- hntroll666 5y agoThe only crisis we're having is one of propaganda. Wearing a mask doesn't do anything useful. I'm sorry to say that, because it's good to be creative. But your creativity is being misused to perpetuate a delusion.
- WayToDoor 5y agoI was very angry until I saw your name.
- hntroll666 5y agoWhat did you get angry about? Do you often find yourself getting angry when people say things that differ from what you believe? Who knows, maybe it could be therapeutic or beneficial in some way for you to have to confront more honestly a tendency toward anger due to disagreement.
- lemoncurd 5y agowhat if i wore no mask and you wore a gas mask it would balance out i think
- clusmore 5y agoI opened your page and didn't expect the game to start right away, and then didn't notice the small dull text in the bottom right explaining it. Might want to start with a dialogue or modal. Also I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I can't see the player ship--I can only tell where I am by constantly holding space to shoot and observing where the laser is coming from.
- sss111 5y agoI wish I could shoot vaccines haha, nice page overall.
