Show HN: Software engineering jobs with a 4 day work week
- philmcp 5y agoHi all I've been feeling very burnt our during lockdown so I decided to make a job board listing only software engineering jobs with a better work life balance, hope you like and feedback welcome :)
- enz 5y agoThanks for your work! A 4-day work week seems so cool. Sometimes there are national holidays on Mondays such that the weekend is 3-day long. The weeks seem so well balanced that way. I suspect the 4-day week is actually more productive than the traditional 5-day. And let's face it: nobody works very hard on Fridays ;) I hope your project will contribute further to that scheme.
- philmcp 5y agoThanks! I definitely think there are so many advantages of a 4 day week: - Higher productivity (i.e. most Fridays are slow / inefficient) - Reduced burnout / better mental health - Better staff retention - 4 day jobs get more applications - 4 day jobs have less sick time The list goes on!
