Researchers Tried to Add Vulnerabilities to Linux Kernel
- kstenerud 5y ago> It is still unclear at this moment what other open source projects they tried to hijack, and what is the actual number of vulnerabilities they succeeded in inserting to various open source projects. This will be the worst part of the fallout, as major OSS projects start retroactively removing and banning contributions coming from University of Minnesota students just to be on the safe side. They've really poisoned the well here.
- rurban 5y agoOnly if you are extremely stupid and didn't study the names involved. So far there are only three. But I agree that they really poisened the well with their lies. I've already checked some similar projects and found nothing.
