The single biggest concern I have with Google cloud, bigger than Reader or the like, is Project Maven.
What if some Google employees decide my company is bad? Will Google cave in and fire us as a customer? That’s an existential risk.
- yaacov 6y agoI can definitely see this being an issue if your product bombs funerals, helps regimes cover up human rights abuses, or deports undocumented people. Fossil fuels are a maybe. This really shouldn’t be a problem for 99% of customers though.
- bradleyjg 6y agoThis week it’s ICE and Exxon-Mobil. Next week, who knows. It’s not worth the risk when Google has a demonstrated history of catering to its employees demands to drop customers.
