Is that really a thing? At home I can play speakers at low volume vs. needing headphones to drown out office background noise.

- manwe150 6y agoI’ve heard a very high pitched hissing tone since mid-February. My personal theory is that it has possibly been the lack of noise / change in noise that amplified my perception of this frequency. I couldn’t find much information online, other than just ignore it and it should fade or focus on it and it will likely self-reinforce.
- airhead969 6y ago1. Have you experienced any extremely loud noises lately? COVID-fatigue clubbing, boredom chainsaw sculpting, or unprotected firearms shooting? 2. Do you use earbud-type headphones? 3. Have you taken any powerful antibiotics, large quantities of aspirin, NSAIDs, loop diuretics, or viagra lately? 4. How old are you? 5. Did you have meningitis recently?
- AfterShave 6y agoSame for me. The low sound levels of being alone at home are so much more comfortable than at an office with even one person speaking. It's by far the best part of working from home.
