- dang 5y agoThere's an entire slough of old "I automated my job" threads, some of which are more interesting than this story. Perhaps someone will dig up a few.
- pmiller2 5y agoI actually prefer the "I just kept showing up, and they kept paying me, but I didn't do any actual work" threads, if nothing else for the sheer absurdity of it.
- umvi 5y agoIsn't that common in Italy with the mafia? (i.e. getting your family members on payroll without them having to actually show up?) Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-show_job https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-show_job
- eindiran 5y agoIn shows like The Sopranos at least they're called "no-show jobs". Edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-show_job https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-show_job

Here's a pedophile english teacher detained just today in Madrid, Spain, he sexually abused 36 minors. https://elpais.com/espana/madrid/2021-04-23/detenido-un-profesor-por-el-supuesto-abuso-de-36-menores-en-madrid.html https://elpais.com/espana/madrid/2021-04-23/detenido-un-prof...
