One issue i dont understand is why they don't jack-up their prices.
AMD/Apple charge a hefty premium for these great chips. While their most well-positioned supplier is just "doing ok?"
Yeah, yeah, Asian long term relationships, pre-signed contracts, price sensitivity, building future capacity..
- throwaway4good 6y agoBecause they would like to be in business in 5 years? Incentivizing lots of competitors to invest massively in new production capacity just means that no one will be making money once that capacity comes online.
