I think the breathless articles going around about the death of business travel are both premature and wildly overstated. Business travel will return, probably at 60-80% the level of before the pandemic, a lot of the 'useless trips' travel will go away (maintaining existing business relationships, smaller training sessions, some tech support support trips) but zoom (et, al) is not a replacement for a face to face meetings and collaboration. I think in the interim you'll see folks doing long term project work wanting to take fewer longer trips.
