No. What I am saying is that things would have really gone bad for the city if Chauvin wasn't convicted and that I am glad that wasn't the case (people are tired of these things happening and seeing little to no justice). I wasn't making an argument, it was a statement. Nobody is saying that he needed to be convicted to prevent rioting, but any reasonable empathetic person who saw the video of George Floyd being murdered would agree Chauvin needed to be jailed for what he did.
