This was the only logical conclusion. If Chauvin wasn't found guilty of at least one count (I'm glad it was all counts), can you imagine what would have happened? The city was on the edge. I'm glad to see justice has prevailed here, it's just sad that George Floyd had to die. I think this is the beginning of change.
- db48x 5y agoThat’s a very bad argument. Are you saying that an innocent man should be convicted merely to prevent other people from rioting? That should never be a consideration.
- DigitalSea 5y agoNo. What I am saying is that things would have really gone bad for the city if Chauvin wasn't convicted and that I am glad that wasn't the case (people are tired of these things happening and seeing little to no justice). I wasn't making an argument, it was a statement. Nobody is saying that he needed to be convicted to prevent rioting, but any reasonable empathetic person who saw the video of George Floyd being murdered would agree Chauvin needed to be jailed for what he did.
