16GB ram limit
512GB storage limit
un-upgradable
You are better off getting a Mac Mini, its the same performance.
- mort96 5y agoPaying more to get more cores enabled on the same chip is standard practice, everyone does it, and it makes complete sense. The alternative is to just throw away all chips with a fault which affects one core, even though there are customers who would gladly have taken a unit with one broken GPU core for a lower price. If you wanna complain about the practice, you can complain that they have no way to attempt to re-enable the locked core. AMD would let you do that back in the day, and it was a great way for customers to buy a 3-core and potentially be able to unlock a fourth core (even if it might have to be clocked lower than the others). Though I believe neither Intel nor AMD lets you unlock cores these days.
- bombcar 5y agoAnd the touch-ID keyboard. That's probably a decent part of the price right there.
- greedo 5y agoThe new iMac can also go up to 2TB SSD.
- Toutouxc 5y ago> Mac Mini, its the same performance So have you noticed the high-quality HiDPI 4.5K display, the wireless keyboard, the six speakers and the webcam that this has over the Mac Mini?
