Why would anyone want their screen to be anything other than a featureless rectangle? If they had the tech, they would have done this a long time ago.

- BitwiseFool 6y agoFor what it's worth I don't think featureless rectangles are a bad thing. I'm just saying that it gets hard to distinguish products from each other when the designs converge so much.
- dntrkv 6y agoYeah, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Now if the designs were converging on something like a gaming PC, then that would be bad. "A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."
- reaperducer 6y agoWhy would anyone want their screen to be anything other than a featureless rectangle? There's a huge market for making TVs look like anything other than a slab of glass. Aesthetics count. Is why the 17 inch iMac with the crane neck is still covered.
