I take a lot of photos and videos and I actually opted for a camera that’s mostly 1080p this year. Why? Because at this point barely anyone is actually using 4K to view content. And the bandwidth and processor power add a lot to the cost. It’s nice to shoot in 4K for flexibility of cropping etc later. But for me, I decided to save money this year. And I’m happy with my decision. So for a video call camera, personally I think 1080p is totally sufficient.
